Katy Perry-Part Of Me

Days like this I want to drive away
Pack my bags and watch your shadow fade
You chewed me up and spit me out
Like I was poison in your mouth
You took my light, you drained me down
But that was then and this is now
Now look at me

[Chorus:]
This is the part of me
That you’re never gonna ever take away from me, no
This is the part of me
That you’re never gonna ever take away from me, no
Throw your sticks and your stones, throw your bombs and your blows
But you’re not gonna break my soul
This is the part of me
That you’re never gonna ever take away from me, no
I just wanna throw my phone away
Find out who is really there for me
You ripped me off your love was cheap
Was always tearing at the seams
I fell deep, you let me down
But that was then and this is now
Now look at me
[Chorus]
Now look at me I’m sparkling
A firework, a dancing flame
You won’t ever put me out again
I’m glowin’ oh whoa
So you can keep the diamond ring
It don’t mean nothing anyway
In fact you can keep everything yeah, yeah
Except for me
[Chorus]
This is the part of me
No
Away from me
No
This is the part of me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me…
No
Throw your sticks and your stones, throw your bombs and your blows
But you’re not gonna break my soul
This is the part of me
That you’re never gonna ever take away from me, no

The Featest Cyclist

There was a loud cheer. A big group of boys were standing in a circle, watching another boy cycle round and round. The boy was Henry. One of featest cyclist in school. He was in a contest against James, another good cyclist. The contest was to see who was the faster between them. Each boy was given five minutes to do as many turns round a circle as he could. James had done twenty-two turns. “Come on, Henry ! Come on! “the boys shouted. “Yes, Henry ! You can do it ! “his friend, Simon, called. Yes, there were still a few seconds left. Henry had already done twenty-two rounds. Now he be dalled very fast and completed another round, just as the five minutes were up. He had beaten James, twenty-two rounds by one. “Well done !” all the boys, including James, yelled. That was what Henry liked. No matter who won or lost, his friends were nice about it. That was the way all sportsman should behave.
Then suddenly Henry noticed one boy staring at him. He was Benny, a new comes to the school. “Your cycling is all right, “Benny said”. “But I’m sure I can beat your twenty-three rounds”. Henry’s friends stared back at Benny. You see, they knew he was a boaster. His own bicycle was the best in the world, and so were all his other belongings. Everyone was tired of Benny’s boasting, including Henry. “Well, Benny , if you think you can beat me, why don’t we have a contest ?” he said. “I’ll see you in two days time”. Then he walked off. “I hope you teach him a good lesson”, Simon said. “He needs one”.
Henry decide to have a good rest the day before the contest so that he would feel fit. However on that day he had some bad luck. As he was coming down the stair. Case in his house, he slipped and fell. He bruised his knees. So badly that he was limping. At school the next day his friends looked worriedly at him. “Do you think should race?” they asked. “You can put off the contest”. “No”, said Henry. “If I do that, Benny will think I’m afraid to race against him. I’ll be all right”.
After school the boys gathered in the field at the back of their classrooms. There was a big crowed, all eager to see who would win. Benny cycled first.
The boys watched in silence as he went round and round the big circle. He was good, better than they had expected. Some of them began to wonder if Henry, with his bruised knees, could beat him. In five minutes Benny completed twenty four rounds !
Henry looked very serious as he jumped on his bicycle. He had a difficult ride ahead oh him. But he wanted to teach Benny a lesson. At first his knees hurt a lot. But soon he didn’t seem to feel the pain any more. All he thought about was beating Benny. And do you know something ? He cycled twenty-four rounds and still had thirty seconds left. His friends cheered loudly as he finished off with twenty-five rounds ! He had beaten Benny, even though his knees were hurt. From then on Benny never boasted again. And Henry and his friends began to like him better for that.

Tugas Softskill Bahasa Inggris 2 "Conditional Sentences"

Conditional Sentences / If-Clauses Type I, II und III

Conditional Sentences are also known as Conditional Clauses or If Clauses. They are used to express that the action in the main clause (without if) can only take place if a certain condition (in the clause with if) is fulfilled. There are three types of Conditional Sentences.

Conditional Sentence Type 1

→ It is possible and also very likely that the condition will be fulfilled.

Form:
 if + Simple Presentwill-Future

Example:
If I find her address, I’ll send her an invitation.

Conditional Sentence Type 2

→ It is possible but very unlikely, that the condition will be fulfilled.

Form:
 if + Simple PastConditional I (= would + Infinitive)

Example:
If I found her address, I would send her an invitation.

Conditional Sentence Type 3

→ It is impossible that the condition will be fulfilled because it refers to the past.

Form:
if + Past PerfectConditional II (= would + have + Past Participle)

Example:
If I had found her address, I would have sent her an invitation.
